Introduction

User Types

There are 2 types of users available in Tikting.

1. Active Directory Users
2. Local Users

All the configuration can be accessed by going to:

Customize > Users

For Active Directory Users, refer to Active Directory.

Add Local Users

To add a local user go to:

Customize > Users > All Users and then click the + Sign. 

A New Page will open from where you can add the details of the new user.

Fields marked with * are mandatory.

Users can be assigned roles. For more information on roles, go to Roles.

The ">" and "<" signs are used to move the user to available role or a group.

Save and exit from the screen.

Edit Local Users

All the information as well as roles and groups can be edited / updated.

To do that go to

Customize > Users > All Users > Search the name of the user and click on the pencil icon.

Login details of Users:

User login details can be found below the user name in the user list.

1. For Active Directory users the login is the same as their Active Directory user name and password.
2. For Local Users, the username will be the email address and password defined during local user creation.

Tags indicating roles of the Users

Tags can differentiate users from Technicians and Administrators.

Lock User

Users can be locked until a time defined by the Administrators.

To do that go to:

Customize > Users > All Users > Press the lock button.

Both Local and Active Directory fetched users can be locked / unlocked.

Unlock User

A locked user is indicated by the User Lock button turned Red. Click the same button to unlock button.

Delete User

Both Active Directory fetched and local users can be deleted.

To delete the user, press the red delete button next the user name of the user or search the user from the list and press the delete button.
