Asset Types enable the structured management of various asset types, each with tailored controls and forms for accurate data entry and oversight.

Add New Asset Type
Create a new Asset Type by specifying a clear title and assigning a unique Asset Prefix Code to help identify and categorize assets efficiently.
Once the Asset Type is defined, you can create asset specific custom fields.
Add Asset Specific Fields (Custom Fields)
Press the + button as shown below
You can view all existing asset-specific fields and use the “Add Field” button to create new ones as needed.
You can create multiple field types based on your requirements, such as:
- Text Input
- Number
- Date/Time
- Select List (for selecting from multiple options)
- Checkbox
Each field type helps capture specific data accurately and consistently.
Customize Asset Form
You can choose which fields appear on the Asset Creation Form, allowing you to hide irrelevant default fields or disable outdated custom fields for a cleaner, more relevant form.
Edit / Delete Asset Type
In addition to editing, you can delete unused Asset Types to keep your asset management streamlined and organized.
Asset Type Permissions
You can control which users can add or modify specific Asset Types, helping to separate responsibilities. (E.g. Distinguishing access between administrative and technical assets).
Asset Management Permissions
Control which users from role groups can:
- View assets
- Create new assets
- Issue or return assets
- Add job cards
- Update asset status
- Modify other asset details
- Delete assets
